About 3Ls: The Academy
3Ls is committed to helping children break cycles of poverty by providing them with opportunities for literacy in their own neighborhoods. 3Ls has developed an innovative model, which not only provides education and empowerment, but also involves families on every level: as teachers, students who may be future educators, or persons seeking social justice work within communities they live in.
The goal is to reinvent the cycle of empowerment, to teach one another new skills, instead of allowing illiteracy and inequality to continue to dismantle the next generation.
MISSION:
At 3Ls, our mission is to eradicate disproportionate literacy outcomes for Black and Brown students and families, one neighborhood at a time, by reimagining education and leveraging the innate power of community through radical literacy.
